The Last Stan
It's all down to you-- The Last Stan.
Use arrow keys to move, space to jump, and type the a-z keys to throw letters at enemies and collect the 26 keys scattered through the level.
If you get captured by enemy ship, type the challenge phrase (use the spacebar when you see an _underscore_).
Created for the 2024 GameDev.tv jam, where it ranked in 59th place (out of 1000) in the "mechanics" category and did pretty well otherwise.
All art and sound effects by Kenney, with music by Seth Makes Sounds.

What a neat little game! Great idea and fantastic execution! I'm surprised typing while platforming felt pretty good. The spaceships felt a little overeager and jumping on slopes felt a little odd. Otherwise great job!
Thanks! I agree on the slopes thing and the ships– I’m up against a gamejam deadline so I had to prioritize.
